Aman: "Some leaders not giving good example"

Just under 3,000 samples, another 143 positive cases.
This is the most important data of the last Saturday of May in Kenya among those transmitted in the last Coronavirus bulletin of the previous 24 hours by the Ministry of Health.
The Administrative Director Rashid Abdi Aman, speaking outside Afya House in Nairobi during the usual daily press conference, confirmed the new infections against 2959 samples used mainly in Nairobi but also in other counties, so much so that the one in Kericho was added to the other 32 that had previously reported at least one case of Covid-19 virus infection.
The total number of positives detected in the country has now risen to 1888, with 1361 active cases, the result of 26 new cures that bring the total number of patients discharged to 464.
At the same time, a 59-year-old Kenyan citizen lost his life to the virus, adding to the 62 previous deaths that the country has already endured.
All 143 cases on Saturday, May 30 are Kenyan citizens, with the youngest patient only one month old and the oldest patient 88 years old.
In terms of distribution by county, the Ministry statement specifies that Nairobi had 86 cases, Mombasa 25, Uasin Gishu County 11, Kiambu 6, Busia, Kwale and Migori 3 each, Kajiado, Kisii, Garissa, Isiolo, Makueni , Kericho one each.
In Nairobi the targeted tests reached the Makadara district, which recorded 45 cases, while in the Kibera slum another 25 plus others scattered in seven major districts of the Capital were detected. In Mombasa, Likoni and the Old City stand out, as well as 2 other cases have been reported in the tourist resort of Nyali.
Abdi Aman, in insisting on the citizens to continue to follow the measures established by the government, has beaten colleagues and local leaders to be the first to comply with the directives, in order to serve as an example.
"It is disturbing to observe the casual way in which some of us in the leadership put the containment measures into practice. As leaders, it is of paramount importance that we are the first to be the first to be the first to be polite and careful in carrying on the discussion," said Abdi Aman. "It doesn't help if we continue to appeal to the people to wear masks in public places, then some of us are the first not to do so.
