Never rain in Malindi and Watamu was more blessed. The grueling wait of small precipitation in November on the north coast of Kenya seems to be finally over. Or at least this morning there is a small break from the heat and drought that affected in recent months the coastline of Kilifi County.
While on the days it was raining heavily in Nairobi and have reported scattered showers in character in the Tsavo National Park, still had not dropped a single drop of water in Malindi. This morning, however, the town or nearby villages woke up under a continuous roar, powerful but not violent. Now it's up to see how much it will last, but residents and small farmers are hoping last at least a week.
