Kenyans third most generous people in the world

World Giving Index 2017 indicate Myanmar as the first

Kenya is on the podium of world generosity.
Kenyan citizens are supportive of each other, they spend a lot of time assisting people in need and are generally prepared to help.
The World Giving Index 2017, the annual report that analyzes the generosity of the peoples of the nations of 139 countries around the world, says.
Kenyans have passed in a year from twelfth place to third place, thanks to the solidarity shown between them in times of hunger and drought, but they maintain a position of respect also in the rankings of generosity towards foreigners and time spent on volunteering, while they fall slightly when generosity has to be translated into monetary loans.
Myanmar is ranked first for the fourth consecutive year. Former Burma is well ahead of the times in loans and solidarity with people in need. Indonesia is in second place.
The most important data of the World Giving report 2017 concerns the so-called "rich"countries, which have seen a gradual downgrading in the last three years, until almost totally leaving the very first positions. The United States (fifth place) with Great Britain for the first time coming out of the "top ten" (only eleventh) and Germany crashing into nineteenth place.
What about Italy? Even as far as generosity is concerned, it is not doing well. There is not only a lack of solidarity with foreigners, but above all the time spent on volunteering and also the help to their fellow countrymen. Result: Eighty-fourth position. Worst of all, in the European area, only Portugal (104) and Greece (117).
China's penultimate negative record is worth mentioning, while the black jersey is sadly conquered by Yemen, the poorest country in the Middle East, which has been struggling with a devastating civil war for some time.
