A varied and comprehensive programme for the festive season, that offered by the two Osterias in Malindi, the elegant space in one of the historic Swahili buildings on the seafront (Osteria Town) and the corner of relaxation and pleasure on the Indian Ocean shore in Casuarina (Osteria Beach).
In full compliance with Covid-19 protocols and the spacing between flights, the two venues are always open: Osteria Town from 7 a.m. with breakfast and new pastries, with lunch, aperitifs and dinner non-stop until 9 p.m., and Osteria Beach open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. with a bar, sun loungers, lunch and dinner.
There is also a delivery service at the same times, including the entire menu.
During the festive season, it will also be possible to order home-delivered dinners or complete lunches and dinners, including desserts and the famous panettone cake filled with custard, chocolate and whipped cream. In addition, every day at both restaurants from 5 p.m. there will be an aperitif with snacks and music.
But let's get to the special days:
On Wednesday 23 December, Osteria Town will be hosting the customary Christmas Curio Shop with an exhibition and aperitifs from 5pm and an à la carte dinner.
The beach, as always, offers its classic dinner menu after the aperitif.
On Christmas Eve, Thursday 24, the two venues offer aperitifs from 6 pm and an à la carte dinner "reinforced" by special Christmas dishes.
On Christmas Day, it's the same as above at Osteria Town, with a gospel choir accompanying aperitifs and an à la carte dinner with special themed dishes.
The Osteria Beach, on the other hand, will start at lunchtime with the traditional Christmas Grand Buffet, at Kes. 2500 (excluding drinks) from 1.00 p.m., accompanied by live music from singer Catherine and her band. Also here in the evening dinner menu with some Christmas surprises.
On Boxing Day, singer Catherine will be on stage at the Osteria Town starting with an aperitif at 5 p.m. and continuing with dinner.
On Sunday 27 December, the classic Sunday Lunch Buffet will be held at the Osteria Beach, enhancing the day at the beach by relaxing on the sun loungers in front of the sea. In the evening, after an aperitif at 6.00 pm in both places, an à la carte dinner with specialities in the festive theme. The same applies on 28, 29 and 30 December.
While something special and enjoyable is being prepared for New Year's Eve, always in compliance with Covid-19 protocols and curfew, on 1 January 2021 the New Year will be celebrated with the New Year's Eve Grand Buffet at Osteria Beach. Bookings are already open and the programme will be announced in the next few days.
