Continuity and good will, this is the secret to achieving tangible objectives. The residents of Mambrui meet this Saturday, February 15, for the second monthly Clean Up, the cleaning operation that is not an end in itself but part of a long-term project to raise awareness among the population and to support and "sting" if necessary the institutions in waste collection and disposal operations. The active members of Mambrui's community, led by Principal Halima Omar and coordinated by Denise Granata of Karibuni Villas and Valerio Procopio of Kola Beach, with the support of Magarini's Assistant Chief Anthony Kahindi and environmental services manager Jimmy Yaa, will meet on Saturday morning at 8am at the entrance of Mambrui village to clean the beach area. The Malindi Green And Blue Movement, which in the town of reference has started these operations with very precise objectives (separate waste collection and recycling, creating a chain of profit for the local people who will also have an important income by cleaning the town) has given the example that Mambrui has been collected on the fly: the first Clean Up last January was a success of participation and coincided with the laying of two bins donated by the two resorts with the help of many private individuals.
Now it is a matter of confirming the excellent intentions, for this reason everyone is invited to take part in the initiative.
The festive season of the Kola Beach Mambrui this year is about culinary and solidarity, encouraging the meeting but also the well-being and relaxation.
