Chef Abubakr: "My gourmet passion at La Malindina"

Every dinner many delicious surprises from the kenyan chef

The weekend at Malindina is an opportunity to learn about the classy cuisine of one of Kenya's emerging chefs, who has already collected several international awards in South Africa, Egypt and Dubai, as well as in his own country.
This is Abubakr Munguti, thirty-one years old from Machakos who, despite his young age, has already collected several experiences between the Hilton in Nairobi and prestigious restaurants in the capital and Karen.
For him cooking is an art and is best expressed in the presentation of his dishes, always very creative, where tastes and flavours are mixed with surprising colour combinations.
Cooking is his world, where he can express his passion by dedicating himself to the search for new and unusual combinations, always adding that touch of fantasy that never makes even traditional dishes trivial.
"It is exciting for a chef to live new experiences and try his hand at different roles and positions - explains Abubakr to Malindikenya.net - having a team to motivate and coordinate gives me a boost, Malindi is a pleasant place to stay and have new work experiences".
From next week, from an idea of the chef and the host Aldo Menduni, Malindina will suggest to its customers a gastrononomic tour through the various cuisines and cultures of the world, passing by Chinese, Italian, Indian and American cuisines, proposing a different menu every day of the week, always leaving that touch of surprise to give ample space to creativity.
In the meantime, to test the skill of the Kenyan chef, the programme for the weekend starts tonight, from 7.30 pm with the apericena at 1500 Kshs including an extra dry flute brut.
On Saturday it will be the Fish Gourmet Menu, with four courses of fish and a coffee and chocolate mousse for dessert at 2800 Kshs (including a glass of brut wine).  On Sunday the Meat Gourmet Menu will be repeated at 2500 Kshs, with a dessert finish to be mentioned, a mango cheese cake with ice cream (including a glass of red wine).
