The Government of Kenya has announced the first coronavirus-related death in the country.
According to the statement issued by the Ministry of Health, it is a 66-year-old Kenyan citizen who has long been suffering from diabetes.
The Kenyan had returned from South Africa, via Swaziland (Eswatini), on March 13 and after about ten days had experienced symptoms of the infection, which had been added to his previous serious pathology. Admitted this afternoon to the intensive care unit of the Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, he passed away shortly afterwards.
