Lucianaìs african sky today in Milan

Book presentation remembering the Kenya "Power Ranger"

14-05-2022 by Freddie del Curatolo

Luciana Franci's safari in "her" Africa does not stop. A little more than four months after her untimely death, the friends and friends of the well-known "Power Ranger" who lived between Malindi and the Maremma, have not stopped carrying on her dreams and desires, as well as promoting the book that tells about her life and that Luciana had started writing precisely as therapy to win her battle against cancer and the great nostalgia for her adopted land, the Kenyan savannah.
This afternoon in Milan, many will be there to remember her, presenting her book "Che cielo che c'è" and talking about her world and what she helped do together with Karibuni Onlus to protect Mijikenda elders. Part of the proceeds from "What a Sky That's There" will in fact go to support Karibuni's project in the village of Moi on the outskirts of Malindi, where the Lombard association has had new and safe traditional huts built to be able to accommodate vulnerable elderly people who, in addition to being in danger of dying, have been resting for years in precarious conditions, sleeping on the ground with Red Cross tents as their only roof. From 6 p.m., in the space at Via Santa Valeria 2 (free admission, entrance through the gates), one more opportunity for all lovers of Kenya and its savannah to get together and perhaps finally meet in person. Only one person will be missing, the most important one. But wherever she is, her ears will be ringing quite a lot and in her thundering voice she will say, "Ahò, but who's breaking them...?"
