Malindi, the african center of watage

Only at Shala Heart the water teraphy created by Emmanuel Pastor

Malindi is the first and only Watage Watsu centre in the whole of Africa, thanks to Shala Heart and to the collaboration with the French Master Emmanuel Pastor, creator of this particular aquatic therapy which can now be practiced by the instructors of the art and wellness centre in Malindi.
Watage is in practice a new way of being in the water, interacting with it and with another self, a path to discover in oneself and in the other the fluidity of water and breathing.
Pastor, teacher of oriental disciplines for twenty-five years, expert of Tai Chi Chuan and other wellness arts such as Watsu, Tantsu and Shiatsu, was born in Paris but lives in Biarritz and for the whole month of January he offered his great experience in the space of Luce Torreforte organizing modules or paths of Watage Watsu.
"And a therapy that has benefits on a biomechanical level, awakening muscle mass - illustrates the creator of Watage - and energy by harmonizing breathing and dissolving emotional tensions, helps overcome some fears including that of water and not least has a poetic value. Shala Heart is the ideal place to practice this therapy, in addition to the climate you are helped by the beauty of the place, peace and quiet.  At the moment I'm very busy in Europe, I divide myself between France, Italy and Hungary where I do watage in public spas (an exciting experience when all the people including tourists attend the watage session first with indifference, rightly continuing to speak and then slowly are infected by the relaxing energy of the therapy and lower the tone of voice) but I think I will also return to Malindi at least once a year.
The course ended just last Friday, but from next week Luce and Sadiq will be available for watage water therapies by appointment.
The watage is practiced in water at a temperature of about 33 degrees Celsius, the body is gently supported in floating with the eyes closed and the ears immersed in water isolating themselves from external sounds and noises. All this creates a deep state of abandonment and relaxation. In an alternation of quiet and gentle movements one finds oneself complicit in a sort of harmonic dance led by the instructor. Rhythmic undulations, delicate stetching and light acupressure follow one another, helping to dissolve the "patient" and his psychophysical tensions. The water becomes like a container (you could somehow compare it to the feeling of returning to the womb), you let yourself go without constraints feeling light, comforted, protected in a playful movement.
"The Shala Heart swimming pool was designed and built for water therapies and is the only center in Africa to have the exclusive Watage method - explains Luce Torreforte - This kind of art of wellness that is a gill of Watsu is aimed at individuals or couples and is very recommended for pregnant women.
