Mpesa upgrade service, some days not operative

First blackout of the service on 5th, then another on mid month

30-06-2017 by redazione

MPESA, the revolutionary service invented in Kenya by Safaricom, is 10 years old and decides for the first time to operate an important upgrade to improve service and make it more modern and accessible to any form of payment in an easy and useful way.
The company warned users, through social networks and a press release that from tomorrow until about mid-July disruptions may occur due to the normal blackout of the line so we can work on it.
The first day when it will be practically impossible to access the service will be next July 5, then there will be another full day before the middle of the month that will be communicated later.
In the press release, Safaricom's General Manager Bob Collymore said: "Ten years ago, we started the M-PESA journey focusing on the need for our customers to send home money. Since then, we have experienced extraordinary growth since the platform Has grown to offer even greater value to the entire payment system. "
Mpesa is in fact a very simple and useful service that allows you to circulate fewer banknotes and always have money available for your own expenses, avoiding tolls to pay bills and without the need for an internet line.
It is so useful that in Europe, as long as banking institutions dominate, it will be impossible to see it on the market.
