Official: no more PCR test for vaccinated travelers coming to Kenya

Entry even for unvaccinated people, but with 2 tests

11-03-2022 by redazione

End of restrictions in Kenya and benefits also for foreigners arriving in the country, from tomorrow, Saturday, March 12.
In addition to the abolition of the obligation to wear masks outdoors, in point 7 of the official communiqué sent by the Ministry of Health and read on television by Minister Mutahi Kagwe, it says "Travelers who are fully vaccinated will be exempt from the presentation of the PCR swab.
But that's not all, from the same date unvaccinated travelers can travel to Kenya, but they will have to present at each airport of entry into Kenya a negative PCR test lasting no longer than 72 hours from departure and arrival must also undergo a rapid antigenic test at their own expense ($ 30), in case they are positive they must undergo a PCR test always at their own expense ($ 50) and put in self-isolation until positive.
These are the main restrictions that will fall, so the good news for tourism is that it will be enough to have the double vaccination to enter Kenya without any more tampon. As we previously told you, the Italian institutions and the tourism industry had long been calling for this important removal for vaccinated people.
More updates soon from the portal of Italians in Kenya.
