There is also one death, a six-year-old boy who already had serious health problems. During his admission to Kenyatta National Hospital, the test also revealed the presence of the Coronavirus. Of the newly infected, 12 are Kenyan citizens and one is of Somali nationality. Once again Nairobi has the highest number of infected, seven, while Mombasa has two and Kiambu, Laikipia and Nyeri counties one case each respectively.
The Head of the National Department of Health Mercy Mwangangi attended the daily press conference: "The boy who did not make it was already suffering from severe immunodeficiency problems and unfortunately the coronavirus has definitely worsened his condition.
The Office of Health recalled that the country has gone from isolated cases of travelers to transmission through "local" contacts, so it's time to respect the safety rules at all costs, because of the possibility that there are currently many asymptomatic Kenyan citizens walking around the country without respecting social distances, without disinfecting themselves and using the mask.
The Ministry of Health also recalled that, County by County, pest control operations have begun and that many operators are following dedicated training to increase the number of controls.
