Diani, on the other hand, has outperformed Zanzibar's competition, Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt and other destinations in South Africa, Mozambique.
The special classification takes into account the beauty of the sea, the beach, snorkeling possibilities but also services, security and other aspects that can ensure a complete holiday.
In the Maasai Mara, luxury lodges are also very important, and they have been voted among the best on the continent.
The prize for the best hotel ever, however, went to the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club, on the slopes of Mount Kenya.
The Kenya Tourist Board, the marketing office of the Ministry of Tourism has also received an award, as well as the port of Mombasa as the best landing place for cruises.
