New travel advisory by Trump's USA to Kenya Coast

KTB prepare an EXPO for american travel agents

After a year of reassurance, of vetoes removed and silence, the US revived a "travel advisory" or advice to avoid certain areas of Kenya, from its Foreign Ministry.
The spark is given not so much the beginning of the election campaign but by the worsening situation on the border with Somalia, in desert areas inaccessible never frequented by tourists and Westerners who are not volunteers of international associations.
Yet even in this case as happened in the past, among the areas to be avoided according to the Americans, in addition to the Northeast of the country, there would also be the coast with the tourist towns, especially Mombasa.
This is caused by the presence of many Islamic same between Mombasa and Lamu and we do not know if there is already the administration Trump cat, but it is certainly a move that gets along with one of the focal points of the election campaign of the tycoon, focused on domestic tourism and economic and social war to the Muslims.
Anyway, speaking of tourism, Kenya is there and deplores the US back on travel for their citizens, especially as it came isolated in a happy time for the influx of tourists from around the world.
For Kenya in shooting this new veto it is a blow, especially considering that the US is the first market in the world, not so much for the French as for safaris, especially in the Masai Mara. In 2016 it recorded an increase of 16% over the previous year, exceeding 6,000 units of the British tourists input (86,000 against 80,000).
So the Ministry of Tourism has decided to organize, through its Kenya Tourist Board marketing organ, a Travelling Expo for the most important agents of the US tourism, the American Society of Travel Agents Forum (ASTA). From February 23 to 28 the ROD from Washington DC will travel to Nairobi and explore the magical places of Kenya. It will be also an opportunity to show and prove that the country and its seaside destinations are particularly quiet.
So much for never dormant desire for world terror.
