The Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS) in Nairobi and the Italian Cultural Institute, with the patronage of the Italian Embassy in Nairobi, are launching the art competition ‘Empowering Art: Kenya's Creative Voices’.

This competition offers Kenyan artists the opportunity to express themselves through visual art, addressing crucial issues related to gender equality and women's empowerment. The selected works will be exhibited during the 16 days of activism against gender-based violence (25 November - 10 December), a global campaign to raise awareness on the issue.

?‍? Who can participate?

• Young talents (18-25 years old) without significant professional experience

• Established artists with at least 3 years of experience in the creative sector

? Accepted formats:

• Digital works (illustrations, graphics)

• Traditional drawings and paintings

? Deadline for submitting entries: 8 May 2025, 2:00 pm (Nairobi time).
