Paparemo Beach

"In a magical land far away my soul found its place. All my days were filled with joy, the children would not stop calling my name Papa Remo! Papa Remo! Time after time it all began. I decided to create my memories here. The small place it used to be turned into what it is now. Today with gratitude I hope you feel the same emotions.
With love, Papa Remo'.

This, in English, is written on a wall of the renovated historic restaurant in Watamu, the pearl of the Indian Ocean that for 20 years has had its landmark, Italian by birth like the founder Remo Lenzi and his family, but international in concept and, above all, in clientele.
Being international means being modern, attentive to changing fashions and the needs of travellers while remaining faithful to the traditions that have ensured a restaurant's success and reputation.

This is why Roberto Lenzi, who in recent years has made Paparemo Beach grow with popular events and the now famous Saturday night beach party, always keeping the bar-restaurant as a mainstay and enjoying one of the most evocative settings on the entire Kenyan coast, has created one of the iconic venues for fun, pleasure and beauty.
