From monday 6th new vaccines in Kilifi County

In Malindi ready to give first doses to tourism employee

04-09-2021 by redazione

With only a few hundred doses per week, not much can be done to vaccinate as many Kenyans as possible (perhaps with priority given to those working in the tourism sector) in Kilifi County.
The reversal of the trend seems to be able to arrive from next Monday, September 6, when in the hospital facilities in charge, in Malindi and Kilifi, there will be availability of new vaccines (we talk about Moderna and no longer AstraZeneca) for those who must take the first dose.
From Monday at the district hospital of Malindi, from 8.30 to 12.30, the vaccines will be available again and there is no need to book, just show up.
Meanwhile, Italian entrepreneurs in the tourism sector have already officially asked local institutions to reinforce the planned shipments of new vaccines on Malindi, to allow anyone working in tourism at all levels to vaccinate and get as soon as possible his certificate "covid free" that could become essential for the gradual reopening of tourism from Europe and particularly from Italy, as we have already written in recent days.  The joint effort of Watamu hoteliers, Kilifi Governor Amason Kingi and Congressman Owen Baya may soon bring other benefits to the program.
