On the eve of the sad anniversary of her death, Silvia Romano is once again being talked about as a living person and, above all, through the voice of the Italian authorities, according to what was broadcast after the confrontation with the Kenyan authorities, it is thought that the area in which the Italian volunteer should be held prisoner has been identified. According to the press agency AGI, which has always shown itself to be the most attentive and punctual in the news and updates concerning the kidnapping of Silvia, the Roman magistrates are considering the possibility of an international letter rogatory to be forwarded to the Somali authorities.
"The elements collected by the ROS Carabinieri, coordinated by the PM Sergio Colaiocco, after the trip to Kenya last August, have reinforced the belief that Silvia Romano is in Somalia. Furthermore, on the basis of the analysis of the documents made available by the Kenyan authorities, the woman would be in an area of the country where local militias linked to the Islamic terrorist group gravitate".
It is very probable, therefore, that Silvia was sold by common criminals who kidnapped her to an Al Shabaab cell and that, therefore, she had been taken across the border for some time.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday 20, exactly one year after her kidnapping, another hearing of the trial will be held for the alleged accomplices of the kidnappers, who are still wanted and to whom was added Ibrahim Adan Omar, one of the three sub-trials who has been a fugitive for days, after he did not appear at the last session, on 14 November last in Chakama.
