Qatar Airways, the Arab emirate's airline, is one of the most solid players on the global aviation scene, despite its young age (it was founded in 1997), and is one of the safest and most reliable airlines flying from Italy to Kenya, via Doha.
A member of the Oneworld alliance, Qatar operates to more than 150 destinations on six continents.
As of today there are daily flights from Milan Malpensa and Rome Fiumicino to Nairobi with a stopover in Doha at Hamad International Airport. As we announced a few weeks ago, flights to Mombasa will be available from 29 October, but schedules and fares are still being updated.
Passengers are required to wear a face mask on departure and during transit, and additional plastic 'face shields' are provided at each gate before boarding.
As Kenyan government regulations require you to present a negative COVID-19 test result on departure and/or arrival, Qatar Airways will verify this information at check-in and retain a copy of the test result. Please have additional copies of the test result available for presentation. Passengers are also required to complete, sign and present a consent form at the check-in counters along with their negative COVID-19 test result.
The test certificate must be in English.
All arriving travellers must provide a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate issued within 96 hours prior to departure for Kenya. This test result must be verified by the Trusted Travel Initiative or Global Haven partnership to ensure entry prior to departure for Kenya. Travellers under five years of age are exempt from this requirement.
Prices for the month of July start at around 500 Euro per round trip and for August rise to around 600/700 Euro per round trip.
Two pieces of checked baggage weighing 23kg each and one piece of hand luggage weighing 7kg are allowed.
