FLIGHTS AND TRAVEL

The emergency of Kenya's national airline, Kenya Airways, which a few days ago, as our website had written, had predicted disruptions in the departures and schedules of its flights due to problems in finding spare parts, particularly for its Boeing 787s, has now been resolved.
The company's CEO, Allan Kilavuka, had predicted 15 days of inconvenience for travelers who would rely on Kenya Airways but also premised that the company was already working to find solutions quickly.
This was indeed the case, and Kenya Airways said yesterday that the planes are operational again, having purchased a significant number of aircraft components, even considering the significant increase in travel demand and the need to put back in the air many planes that had been idle during the pandemic period and the slow recovery of international tourism and consequently tourism to and from Kenya.
"Our entire fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners is now operational and in the air. Your safety and comfort is our priority, and we are working to permanently resolve these issues and keep any disruptions to a minimum," Kilavuka said in a statement, adding that the availability of the components has improved the airline's operational efficiency.
Kilavuka also admitted to some problems with cabin crew. "However, an outage management plan is being executed in cooperation with our pilots and their union. We expect a full recovery during the holidays," he said.
The CEO added that the airline will keep its customers updated by sending them a notification message if there are any changes in their flights.
