TOURISM

“In a magic far away land my soul found his place. All my days were filled with joy, kids couldn’t stop to call loudly my name Papa Remo! Papa Remo! Time after time all began. I decided to create my memories here.
The small place it was before changed into what it is now.
Today with gratitude I hope you feel the same emotions”
With love, Papa Remo.
This, in English, is written on a wall of the renovated historic eatery in Watamu, the pearl of the Indian Ocean that has had its own landmark for 20 years, Italian by birth like founder Remo Lenzi and his family, but international in concept and, above all, in clientele.
To be international means to be modern, attentive to changing fashions and the needs of travelers while remaining faithful to the traditions that have ensured an establishment's success and name.
That's why Roberto Lenzi, who in recent years has grown Paparemo Beach with signature events and the now-famous Saturday night beach party, always keeping the bar restaurant as a staple and basking in one of the most picturesque settings on the entire Kenyan coast, has opted for a "sweet revolution" that has certainly elevated the establishment, giving it a charm that draws not only from myth, but also from the glitter of the present.
For this major restyiling, Lenzi turned to designer, startupper and concept creator Sabina Vivaldi, already known in Malindi for bringing her ideas to Lion in the Sun and Billionaire, as well as her Cozy Point.
Sabina started from the base of the fabulous location and what good has been created over the years, bringing a breath of style and harmony between easy chic and the comfort of joyful, optimistic living to a place that it would be a crime not to exploit so. From the restaurant to the lounge areas, from the kitchens to the reception and beach bar, here is a pearl within a pearl, completely rethought to captivate and be experienced from morning to night, like the landmark venues of the most internationally fashionable destinations.
