Dancing and having fun even during the day, in the strictest observance of the protocols and rules of virus containment, to chase away fears and continue to live with the lightness that Africa teaches.
This is the impulse that the reference point of the (former) movida of Malindi, the Fermento, wants to give to residents and local tourism that, especially on weekends, overlooks the always welcoming coastal resort.
The place of meetings and entertainment that, before the pandemic, animated the evenings in Malindi, with dance music, cocktails and the pleasure of sharing the "small hours", after months of forced closure, has decided to offer its services from tomorrow, Friday 20th November, with a new but interesting afternoon opening that brings us back to the vintage atmosphere of when teenagers used to go dancing in the discos that also opened during the day, for a "safer" entertainment. Today there are other priorities and the owners of Fermento, who have recently also taken over the Karen Blixen, open from the morning with breakfast, have adapted. Fermento in recent years has been one of the "cult" places on the coast and those who love nightlife and healthy and clean entertainment in a high standard environment know it well. Many from Nairobi and also from Mombasa have made it the point of attraction of their holidays on the north coast. Now that night is forbidden, the club will open at one o'clock in the afternoon and will be open until nine o'clock in the evening, still offering music, the coolness of the club with air conditioning, with the pleasure of meeting perhaps for the first drink of the day or happy hour from 17 to 19 with the possibility, and this is a pleasant novelty, to also order a pizza, a plate of pasta or the other delicacies on the bar-restaurant's menu and eat them upstairs, with the playlists of the Fermento deejay in the background and perhaps an excellent cocktail from his experienced bartenders.
