The Italian Cuisine Week in Kenya, organised by the Italian Embassy in Nairobi, the Italian Cultural Institute in Nairobi and the Italian Trade Agency, got off to a great start with its programme of events, with the youngest children in mind and one of their passions that reveals both Italian tradition and culture: pizza.
On Saturday, in the setting of Matteo's Restaurant, more than thirty children of Italian compatriots and children of Italian origin tried their hand at preparing the 'margherita', with the precious teaching of an Italian pizza maker and his Kenyan helpers.
It was not only a moment of fun learning for the young levers of Italy in Kenya, but of cohesion and unity for their parents as well, in the full spirit of the event aimed at the community of compatriots and Kenyans, to promote our food and wine culture abroad.
