With the high season, dancing has resumed at Malindi's most Italian and characteristic location, the Olimpia Beach Club. Beach parties are staged every Wednesday. The club created by the entrepreneur Pasquale Pes, whose fascinating story has been told in the book ‘Fermarsi in tempo’ (Stop in time), from 10 p.m. proposes the evening to the sound of music to dance to with Dj Alipappi, after the usual dinner with Italian and Kenyan gastronomic specialities, (don't miss the fresh oysters from Kilifi, washed down with the exclusive ‘Pederiva’ prosecco imported by Pes) in the ‘seaside shell’ of Casuarina.
Entrance to the disco this evening is free for men and women.
The Olimpia Club is still open every day for lunch and dinner, with the possibility of using the sunbeds on the beach and live music by Max Pupillo in the evening. For information and reservations, Tel. 0113248801
