Watamu's tourist season always comes alive when the lights of Paparemo Beach are turned on and the beach of love comes alive with sunbeds, lunches, happy hours, in anticipation of the weekly beach party and festivals that come to life on the popular bay three times a year.
And so the time has come, from Wednesday 20 July the trendy restaurant bar on the shores of the Indian Ocean reopens its doors and, like every year, has had a makeover with several surprises, as well as a renewed menu that always offers fresh fish of the day, tasty first courses, grills, salads and an excellent pizza. For this week Paparemo Beach will be open from morning until sunset, including lunch and aperitifs. From Saturday 30, the celebrated weekly barefoot beach parties will resume, the real attractions of the Watamu of the movida, with deejays from Nairobi and often also from abroad. From the evening of the first beach party, the restaurant will begin its evening programme, in the picturesque setting of the evening in the Bay of Seven Islands.
