A special Thursday evening, as in the tradition of the Baby Marrow Art & Food Restaurant of Vasco Da Gama Road in Malindi, where good Italian, international and Swahili cuisine is often combined with a musical or cultural moment and where art is enhanced by personal exhibitions of the artist Gian Paolo Tomasi. On the occasion of the World Week of Italian Cuisine, the Baby Marrow on Thursday evening, in addition to a tasting menu inspired by the culinary art of our house and the evocations of Pellegrino Artusi, stages an exclusive show of songs and readings "to eat and drink" by the couple of entertainers who for some years animate the Thursday evening of the restaurant in high season, namely Freddie and Sbringo. The musician and writer-journalist-performer have invented for the occasion the show entitled "Spaghetti chicken salad" inspired by the song of the late lamented (and friend of Malindi) Fred Bongusto. It will be interpreted songs by Italian authors who talk about food and wine, alternating with themed readings, taken from famous writers or created for the occasion by Freddie. During the exhibition, here is the special dinner: truffle cake with puff pastry and Parma ham, homemade cappelletti Bolognese or spaghetti with cuttlefish black Sicilian style, fried calamari and shrimp or cut fillet of meat with rocket and parmesan cheese, and finally one of the specialties of the house, the tiramisu.
