This Wednesday sees the resumption of the dancing season at Malindi's most Italian and characteristic location, the Olimpia Beach Club. The club created by entrepreneur Pasquale Pes, whose fascinating story has been told in the book "Fermarsi in tempo", published in Italian and English, reopens its Wednesday evenings where, after the usual dinner with Italian and Kenyan gastronomic specialities, washed down with the exclusive "Pederiva" prosecco imported by Pes, there is dancing in the Casuarina "roundabout on the sea" with DJ Alipappi at the console. Entrance to the disco is Kes. 700 for men and free for women (free entrance for diners).
The Olimpia Club is open every day for lunch and dinner, with the possibility of using sun beds on the beach and live music by Max Pupillo in the evening. For information and reservations, Tel. 0113248801
