1st May: no more PLF back from Kenya

CS Speranza remove the mandatory document

29-04-2022 by redazione

Also for those returning to Italy from Kenya, from next May 1, 2022 it will no longer be mandatory to fill in the so-called PLF (Passenger Locator Form), i.e.
the Passenger Locator Form (PLF), as until now was provided for by the ordinance of April 16, 2021 and concerned all passengers arriving in Italy, by any means of transport, before entering the country.
The new ordinance signed by Minister Speranza, while postponing until May 31 almost all restrictions on Covid-19 prevention, in fact provides for the abolition of the obligation of the PLF for anyone wishing to return from foreign countries.
The PLF was to contain all the information necessary to locate the traveler in case of possible infection during the transfer.
After the end of the state of emergency last March 31, the Ministry had maintained the obligation explaining the decision with the still not entirely reassuring situation of contagions.
The extension had been for a month and now, a few days before the deadline of April 30, the Minister Speranza has decided not to extend the Passenger Locator Form any further, also at the urging of the president of the Confcommercio Organized Tourism Federation, Franco Gattinoni.
In view of the new loosening of anti-Covid measures that will be triggered by May 1, we ask specifically to eliminate the Dplf (Digital Passenger Locator Form) - had asked the FTO - the form of health authorities that now represents a useless bureaucratic fulfillment only able to flood the machine of travel without adding anything in terms of safety of people.
