A dinner for the 15 years of italian NGO Karibuni

Wednesday 13th with Freddie and Sbringo show

10-11-2019 by Leni Frau

Fifteen years of commitment for the district of Malindi, fifteen years of seriousness and Italian generosity to carry forward a real idea of growth of the local population teaching trades, methods to achieve self-sufficiency. This reality is called Karibuni Onlus and today it is a Non Governmental Organization that is transforming the big village of Langobaya, in the wonderful Malindino hinterland, in a big farm surrounded by specialized schools with feeding programs that help to grow healthy and to study.
Those who have never been to Langobaya (and it is not at all difficult, just contact Karibuni, who has the shop next to the Italian Consulate in Malindi) have lost an Italian excellence of solidarity and organization, directed by the agronomist Jackson Kanai and chaired by its founder Gianfranco Ranieri, who is increasingly present in Kenya every year.
On Wednesday evening, 13 November, at 7.30 p.m., Karibuni celebrates its fifteenth anniversary with a dinner-show at the Tamu Beach Restaurant (Buffet Kes. 2000 drinks excluded, proceeds from the activities of the association) with the participation of Freddie and Sbringo, longtime testimonials of the NGO and authors of the initials "Meglio Karibuni" which will be presented live for the first time for the occasion. During the evening Ranieri will reward six young people who Karibuni has graduated, including the journalist Charo Banda, supported in his studies thanks to the collaboration between the non-profit organization and Malindikenya.net. An evening in which there will be fun, in addition to music and a good and abundant dinner, but where the protagonist will be the love for this land and the look for those who have not had the luck to be born in countries where food is a fact and you even get to waste, where at school it is normal that there are chairs, desks and a roof and so on.
Appointment Wednesday night at Tamu, for Italians who have a bit of heart on the coast of Kenya.  Reservation is recommended, calling Tel. 0714220247
