Ksimba back to Kenya to the sound of afrofusion and reggae

The pop artist will play soon in Watamu and Malindi

06-02-2023 by Freddie del Curatolo

Ksimba, one of the most representative artists of the music scene on the Kenyan coast, is returning 'to base' after yet another successful experience in Europe that saw him perform in Lombardy and Switzerland. The singer and composer, real name Kennedy Cozzi Omwansa, will be on the stages of Watamu and Malindi in the coming weeks, for two evenings in which he will present new compositions that accentuate the blend of Afrofusion and reggae genres with a dash of rock. The Kenyan artist, but Italian by adoption, lives and studies and records in Kenya and Europe with the production support of Franco Cozzi and Ombra Crespi, and in the run-up to the Afro-European launch tour, he wants with these two evenings to greet and thank his friends and fans in his homeland who are following him in his promising career.
Ksimba, with a charismatic stage presence, will be on stage with the Zion Star Band, confirming his vocation to collaborate with local and international artists. Some of the new compositions that he will present exclusively in Watamu and Malindi, in two evenings that we will soon announce, will be part of the next album whose production has already begun and whose release and distribution on the market and on online platforms is planned for the end of 2023.
The new single 'Don't give up' is shot in Malindi and confirms the Kenyan artist's passion for 'roots reggae' while being fascinated by contaminations.
