From tomorrow the '100 Afriche' festival in Milan

Three days of unmissable events on the 'real continent'

08-06-2023 by redazione

Tomorrow sees the opening in Milan of the '100 Afriche' festival, three unmissable days of celebration for those who love, frequent or want to get to know the 'real continent', as the organisers of Africa Rivista have dubbed it.
From Friday 9 to Sunday 11 June in the Centro Internazionale di Quartiere (Milan - Via Fabio Massimo, 19), with free admission, there will be events with music, dance, theatre, culture, fashion, art, cuisine, travel, creative workshops and many attractions for children too.
It starts on Friday afternoon with the Sahara as the protagonist, with the tea ritual and Tuareg tales, with a bazaar of local handicrafts, an event that will be repeated on Saturday afternoon.
At the same time, the cinema hall will host the opening of "Le Fiabe di Nelson Mandela", an exhibition of drawings and books on African Fairy Tales, created by the Graphic Design and Illustration students of the Civica Scuola Arte e Messaggio, and supported by the Honorary Consul of South Africa, to celebrate Nelson Mandela and his battle against Apartheid, ten years after the South African leader's death.
