The first edition of the Malindi International Film Festival will be held in December 2018.
The idea, which was launched two years ago in a public meeting at the Ocean Beach Resort by Mr Dan Kazungu, a member of parliament elected in the Malindi District and today Minister of Mining Resources, and announced in preview by malindikenya. net, has finally become a project that will be completed next year.
Kazungu revealed the programme of the "Malindi International Film Festival" to the press: in March there will be a preview and a meeting with organizers of other important African film festivals, from Nigeria to Ghana, but also with French and perhaps Italian experts.
The actual event will be held in December 2018.
The details of the event are still unknown, and above all the location chosen or to be chosen: Malindi currently has neither a cinema theater worthy of this name (the only one is Cleopatra, which is in less than optimal conditions) nor a conference center that can be adapted for the occasion.
