A reading with two famous Italian actresses of cinema and theatre to inaugurate the "Malindi Festival of Creativity" conceived by Armando Tanzini at the White Elephant.
The appointment for the cultural event is set for Tuesday, 19 January at 7 pm in the "White Theatre" space that has already hosted numerous artistic performances and concerts in the past.
Under the artistic direction of director and author Mimma Nocelli, the actresses Iaia Forte and Maddalena Maggi will perform extracts from the book "E chiudo gli occhi per vedere" by Armando Tanzini.
The White Theatre will become the venue for the festival, which will take place every year in January and will host music, theatre and visual arts.
This first evening will lay the foundations for giving a theatre to the community," comments art director Mimma Nocelli. "It will be a permanent home for closing one's eyes and seeing.
On Tuesday, people will also be able to become founding members of the Festival, by purchasing a chair that will have the name of the beneficiary and will have a permanent place in the theatre.
Iaia Forte, Neapolitan, has an impressive CV in Italian cinema and theatre. She has worked, among others, with Mario Martone, Marco Ferreri and Paolo Sorrentino.
Maddalena Maggi, from Bari, has acted for directors such as Marco Bellocchio and Salvatore Piscicelli and in several television series, as well as directing plays.
Admission to the show is free.
