Parties and toasts everywhere, in the night between December 31, 2019 and January 1, 2020 in Malindi and Watamu, with thousands of Italian tourists who spent the holidays in Kenya.
No accidents of any kind in the two tourist destinations very popular also with Kenyans and foreigners of other nationalities during this period.
Between Rosada, Papa Remo Beach in Watamu and White Elephant the beach parties gathered hundreds of people, particularly young people until late at night, but many were the hotels and restaurants that waited for midnight after dinner and also the good western year (at 2 am Kenya time) with music, dancing, toasts and, in the case of Italian clubs, with traditional cotechino and lentils and slices of pandoro and panettone.
Also worth mentioning are the charitable initiatives of two Malindine situations which have always been linked to solidarity and which, in a cheerful and festive situation such as this one, have not wanted to lack their support to those less fortunate. In particular, at Kilili Baharini Resort a lottery was staged by our director Freddie del Curatolo, who set himself the goal of a fundraiser to help the Asante Sana children's centre in Mambrui, which was ravaged by a fire in recent days that destroyed the women's dormitory. Thanks to the company Medicallife of Treviglio, which takes care of the SPA of Kilili and has put up for grabs the prizes, important donations will arrive to the orphanage managed by Piera Chiodi. Even the Olimpia Club, which organized an evening with lottery and fireworks, has decided to donate part of the proceeds for Asante Sana.
