Sometimes you find Kenya in the most unexpected corners of our country. Over the years we have reported activities of Kenyan citizens, either with Italian partners or independently, especially restaurants but also African fashion houses and handicraft businesses, around Italy, from Cagliari to Friuli Venezia Giulia.
This time we are even in the heart of a city that has in its old part one of the most characteristic markets for sea and land products.
We went in person to Genoa's Mercato Orientale to discover a unique place that offers dishes, tastes and flavours of Kenyan cuisine in Italy, thanks to the initiative of two Kenyan sisters and a Ligurian entrepreneur.
If you watch the video, you will discover this unexpected corner named "Chakula Chema" (Good Appetite).
