A few hours after it came into effect, the electronic entry permit for Kenya (ETA) that was supposed to replace the online visa (evisa) as of yesterday, 27 December, as per the government's previous announcement, has been blocked and is not yet operational.
The Etakenya website itself published the news that it will have to wait a few days to perfect the system. We are therefore going ahead with the visa as in recent years, only and exclusively at the evisa.go.ke site.

Operators point out that these days the paperwork is fast, so for the next few days, those who leave even in January will have to do the evisa and we also advise those who leave later to go ahead (it's only 20 euros more), since in a previous announcement, the government itself stated that in 2024 the old visas issued until the ETA is operational will still be valid, but surely a few days' delay will not affect the regularity of operations and one can even arrive in March with the evisa instead of the ETA.
