Kenya in third wave, percentage high

12 deceased, 89 patients in ICU

Percentage of cases of Covid-19 for swabs taken rose to 13.6%, patients admitted to intensive care units that increase day by day and in a week have gone from 60 to 89, 12 new deaths in the last 24 hours.
These are the alarming data of Kenya that, on the eve of the possible announcement of President Kenyatta on the cancellation or not of the curfew, suggested to the Minister of Health Mutahi Kagwe to announce that the country has entered its third wave of coronavirus.
On Wednesday, March 10, 713 new cases of Covid-19 were recorded, bringing the total number of infections to 110,356. There were 5230 swabs analyzed and the total deaths since a year ago are now 1,898.
There are currently 566 patients currently hospitalized in various hospitals across the country. Another 1,588 are following the home care program. As mentioned, 89 patients are in ICUs while 28 patients are on supplemental oxygen in general wards.
Meanwhile, 167 patients have recovered from the disease, including 115 from the home care program, while 52 have been discharged from various healthcare facilities.
