Making of Mayungu road from Malindi to Watamu begins

Chinese contractors will make it flat and large before june, to tarmac next year

This time it looks like we are through.
The Kilifi government gave the contract to a Chinese company for the first work of maintenance of the Mayungu road, which leads from Casuarina in Watamu. The coastal road that for years not only residents and hotelier of that area, but all the entrepreneurs of the two resorts are clamoring for, as a service that can develop tourism and reduce traffic congestion, making it faster connection between the two companies.
After years of measurements, coring, projects, contracts ended in nothing, now finally seems to have started the final draft, second when transpires from the County offices and is confirmed by the posted road signs along the way, it involves leveling of the road and laying of marble powder to make the road to be viable in a manner better than now.
These projects include the lateral gutters, and a vision of the work can be already a basis for addressing the second part of the project, the dell'asfaltatura, which should start after the national elections.
In a predictable two-year time, so, Malindi and Watamu will be connected by a paved road that will give the possibility to reach one or other locations in a little over ten minutes.
Applaud at the beginning of the work the resort owners Mayungu and Jacaranda Bay. On lot of work, for a total of 28 km of adjustments, also includes the road that leads directly to the Jacaranda Resort Malindi-Mombasa.
