More Covid-19 deaths yesterday in Kenya

13 deceased, low percentages waiting for Kenyatta speech

The number of deaths in Kenya has risen to 682 after 13 patients admitted to health care facilities in the last 24 hours have succumbed to illnesses worsened by Covid-19 virus positivity.
While the country is preparing for the new verdict of President Uhuru Kenyatta, announced for Monday, September 28, and citizens are increasingly less convinced and respectful of the rules, the percentages continue to fluctuate below the threshold of 5%, considered by the World Health Organization and the Kenyan Government itself the value that defines the threshold of attention of the pandemic.
Yesterday, Friday, September 25, in Kenya, another 218 positive cases of Covid-19 were recorded out of 5424 swabs analyzed, bringing the total to 37,707.
Health Minister Mutahi Kagwe, in the usual press conference, also welcomed the recovery of 170 patients who were discharged. 91 from various hospitals in the country and 79 from home care programs.
In the distribution of cases, Nairobi County is leading with 68 positives, followed by Kisii with 28, Mombasa 21, Kisumu 19, Kiambu 13, Kajiado 11, Busia 10, Machakos 8, Tharaka Nithi 6, Garissa 6, Taita Taveta 5, Nakuru 4, Uasin Gishu 3, Narok 2, Laikipia, Kakamega and Kericho 2.
Homabay, Murang'a, Bomet, Kilifi, Makueni, Migori, Nyandarua and Nyeri each recorded one case.
