Today fourth repatriation flight for italians in Kenya

From Nairobi and Mombasa to Rome and Milan

01-07-2020 by Freddie del Curatolo

The fourth and probably last state return flight from Kenya to Italy organized by the Italian Embassy in Kenya thanks to the intervention of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs leaves today from Nairobi and Mombasa.
The departure of the Neos flight is scheduled at 18.20 from Nairobi, the first stop of the boeing that will obviously arrive in Kenya empty, and at 20.30 from Mombasa.
It will arrive in Rome Fiumicino at 2.50 tomorrow, Thursday, July 2, and then in Milan Malpensa at 6.05 (times subject to possible changes).
The Italians from the coast who have decided to return will meet at 2pm at the designated points of Malindi, Watamu, Mambrui and Kilifi for collective transport (as Mombasa County is still in lockdown) with Southern Sky Safari coaches.
According to the organizers, the flight should be full. According to the new provisions of the Italian Government, in fact, it is now possible to travel without having to respect the social distances, due to the sanitization rules imposed on airlines and given the obligation of masks and temperature control.
We would also like to remind you that according to the new regulations transmitted by the National Civil Aviation Authority (ENAC) it will no longer be possible to carry large hand luggage, such as trolleys and other large bags, but only small backpacks or handbags to keep in front of your seat, under your feet. The hatboxes will therefore remain empty.
For now there are no further possibilities to return to Italy. Next 6 July, the President of Kenya should announce the date of the reopening of the skies to international flights, but the fact remains that Europe has not yet given the go-ahead for direct flights to Kenya.
