ROADS

The road from Malindi to the Tsavo Est National Park, better known as the Tsavo Road, is almost completely paved.
The work begun in September three years ago has therefore practically been completed, for a total of 120 kilometres of route that winds through the hinterland of Malindi, through the towns of Ganda, Kakuyuni, Jilore, Kakoneni, Langobaya and Shakaola.
Even though the eyes of lovers of Africa have been lacking a bit of poetry, the road has significantly reduced travel times for safaris and tense camps, giving tourism the opportunity to intensify the relationship between sea and savannah for which Malindi and Watamu are one of the few possible destinations in all of Africa. But the tarmac road is a panacea especially for local trade and the movements of the population of the Malindi hinterland, which can now reach Malindi in a short time, even for health emergencies, as well as law enforcement agencies can ensure safety and intervention in less time.
In the coming weeks the asphalt will reach the Sala Gate, the main entrance gate to the park from the coast.
Then President Uhuru Kenyatta or his Deputy William Ruto will be waiting for the inauguration of the infrastructure work completed in just under 3 years.
