The new Oasis Mall supermarket in Malindi could reopen on August 8th.
This is what we knew from some staff of the mall.
The shopping centre, orphaned two and a half years ago of Nakumatt, has seen an unhappy interregnum of the chain Ocean Grocer that closed its doors a few days ago, issuing an eloquent communiqué.
According to what has been written, the supermarket will focus on its headquarters in Diani and would have reached an agreement with the important national retailer Tuskys, a large retailer already present with good feedback in Kilifi, as well as in Mombasa and in the rest of the country.
If the news were also confirmed by the company (but yesterday morning inside the malindina structure were wandering employees with green t-shirts with the logo of the elephant) would be a great blow for the town, which after the closure of Nakumatt would return to have a supermarket "serious" and all-inclusive. The Tuskys in Kilifi also has a bakery and a greengrocer, as well as a well-stocked department of household goods and appliances.
The formula, therefore, would be that of the old Nakumatt.
