The promotion of Italian-made products and our excellent food and wine also, and above all, involves teaching and conveying the culture and tradition of eating and drinking well that our country has in its DNA and that it offers and exports all over the world.
This is not only a cornerstone of the philosophy and programmes of our governments, of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and of the Ministry of Enterprise, which not by chance is today also called ‘of Made in Italy’, but in particular of the current Italian ambassador to Kenya, Roberto Natali.
After organising a series of events and publications along these lines, Natali recently hosted a two-day Master Class on the art of making Italian pizza at his residence, organised by Roberto Miano of Gourmet Master, importer and restaurateur, and the Italian company Molino Dallagiovanna, one of the top names in flour and products for making and preparing pizza, bread and other products. Representing the company and holding the course was pizza master chef Salvatore Polo.
