Starting tomorrow, Friday 27 June, Nairobi will host the “World Wine Weekend”, a three-day international wine exhibition that will allow residents and tourists alike to taste and purchase a range of wines at attractive prices in the Village Market shopping centre in Gigiri. Many of these wines are not easily found in Kenyan shops and distributors. In the case of Italy, these are also very interesting wines, as they are bottles showcased by the importer Gourmet Master.
Fresh from the opening of its new shop and tasting room, Roberto's Market & Cellar at the Rosslyn Riviera Mall, Gourmet Master will offer a selection of its vast range of white, red, rosé and sparkling wines, which can be found every day at Roberto's Market, as well as at the historic shop in Nyali, Mombasa. In particular, at the “World Wine Weekend”, the spotlight will be on the products of the Astoria winery, which has been working with Gourmet Master for thirty years, the excellent Collefrisio winery in Abruzzo and a new entry, also from a land waiting to be discovered, the hills of Chieti, the De Cerchi family, with its organic wines and a potential “hit” for Kenya, its Merlot rosé. The event will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Village Market in Nairobi.
