After the one donated a few months ago to the Gede Hospital, two other motorbikes donated by the Italian Karibuni NGO, thanks to the important contribution of Italian and private associations to help the health facilities of the Kenya coast.
The first of the two motorbikes was donated by Rotaract Como and was assigned to the Baolala village dispensary near Langobaya.
This is a strategic choice because this service, which thanks to the bike can reach even small agglomerations of huts away from the streets of cars, will cover a territory that includes about 12,000 people.
"The Baolala area is booming as it is at the center of the road leading to Tsavo," explains Karibuni's president, Gianfranco Ranieri, and is now becoming a hub for many activities, including fortune-telling. Very useful for the various vaccination campaigns, primarily that against polio. "
The funds were mainly collected in the province of Como thanks to the football tournament dedicated to the memory of Professor Giorgio Luraschi.
The second motorcycle has been donated by Rainbow Care Onlus since present in Kibokoni and since this year has decided to lean on Karibuni for managing its projects. He was assigned to the Mambrui dispensary and will also cover the territory of Kibokoni.
The Caribbean will also guarantee the driver for a year.
