The White Twiga, on Peponi Road, is a beautiful Swahili-style villa tucked away in a lush garden with native plants, including two imposing baobab trees that welcome guests and a beautiful swimming pool with sun loungers, covered relaxation area with comfortable seating, sofas and massage area.

The property is on three levels and overlooks the quaint fishing village, consists of 6 bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom, spacious and bright lounges, furnished with simplicity and taste where one can enjoy the tranquility and the breeze coming in from not far away Watamu Bay, including a library/study where a considerable number of books can be found, plus an apartment with kitchenette and two bedrooms in a separate building.

The spacious kitchen is made available to guests and is complete with all amenities. The chef is also available for lunches and dinners, as well as other services provided by the staff outside the bed & breakfast.

The rooms are large, bright with stained glass windows, embellished with trompe l'oeil on the walls, fine finishes, and much attention to detail.

On the ground floor a large veranda with sofas and several lounging areas stands out, overlooking the inner garden that slopes down to the pool, where one can enjoy the breeze coming from the not far away Indian Ocean and the view of the tin roofs of the fishermen's village that, at sunset turn gold and orange giving a magical atmosphere reminiscent of that of equally fascinating places such as the island of Lamu.

On the top floor White Twiga has a sun terrace with a small and intimate gazebo that can also be used for a dinner or aperitif in a special location, in addition to the gazebo restaurant on the ground floor with tables and sofas. But all spaces, both indoor and outdoor, give great privacy to guests. White Twiga opens its doors on Wednesday, August 23.
