The Italian Cultural Institute in Nairobi has announced that registration is now open for group Italian courses—both online and in person—which will resume in September 2025, as well as for the CELI Italian language certification exams, scheduled for November 2025.
Group Italian courses: September 2025 edition
Group Italian courses - online and in person - are aimed at those approaching the language for the first time (A1a, A1b), those with a beginner level (A2a, A2b) or intermediate level (B1a, B1b).
The in-person group courses will begin on September 27, 2025 and will be held on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (3 hours), for 10 weeks, for a total of 30 hours.
To participate, you must register by September 19, 2025.
Online group courses will begin on September 8, 2025 with lessons held twice a week, for a total of 3 hours per week, for 12 weeks, for a total of 36 hours. To participate, you must register by September 1, 2025.
The registration fee for all types of courses is 35,000 Ksh, plus the purchase of the textbook worth 3,000 Ksh.
Please note that the Italian Cultural Institute always offers the possibility of starting individual lessons with native teachers, either in person or online. Customized group courses are also available, designed to meet different needs and suitable for all levels, even the most advanced.

CELI exams for Italian language certification: November 2025 session
If you wish to obtain a language certificate, the Italian Cultural Institute is an official CELI exam center, in collaboration with the University for Foreigners of Perugia. The next session will be held on November 19, 2025, and the deadline for registration is October 10, 2025.
The registration fee is 9,800 Ksh for levels A1 and A2, and 10,500 Ksh for levels B1, B2, C1, and C2. The registration fee does not include the final certificate, which must be requested directly from the University for Foreigners of Perugia.
It is important to note that registration for CELI exams is open to all interested parties, not only to students of the Italian Cultural Institute.
