Ethiopian Airlines, official request for Addis Ababa-Malindi flights

The company now just waits for approval, ready to connect the world to another coastal destination

20-12-2017 by redazione

Increasingly closer to the definition of a date for the direct flight Addis Ababa-Malindi by Ethiopian Airlines.
The news comes from reliable sources that the central office of Ethiopian would have forwarded the official request to open the route to the Civil Aviation of Kenya, and awaits official authorisation from the Kenyan authorities.
Authorisation that should not be hampered, as Ethiopian has been landing in the country for a long time, as is known, with daily flights to and from Nairobi, and on Mombasa. In addition, there are also agreements across Africa for free trade in airline licences, under which Ethiopia can also make political use of them.
Moreover, the section should be covered with "bombardier" aircraft with a hundred seats, therefore compatible with the current runway of Malindi.
Now, while waiting for the certification and organization process, it is important that all entrepreneurs in the tourism sector should be prepared to consider the advantages of a new direct offer on Malindi, while some Italian and local operators and entrepreneurs have already been working for some time to speed up and make real what could be a first great way to relaunch destinations by opening up to a wider international audience and making it easier for Italian frequent visitors and new customers of hotels and resorts to open up to a wider international audience.
On the part of the company, there would already be a very favourable coincidence (not more than two hours) from Rome and Milan.
