"Hotelkeepers will join other stakeholders in cleaning the airport road to roundabout in readiness for comoletion for completion of airport as promised by his Excellency the President".
This is what the county chairman of KAHC Maureen Awuor wanted to clarify the day after a meeting called to talk about the priorities for Malindi.
The hotelkeepers at Ocean Beach Resort decided to take the chance to let their voice be louder on saturday 9th, just joining Malindi Green And Blue movement, Malindi Municipal Council and Kilifi County Government in the 8th monthly Malindi Clean Up.
"Hoteliers have always been part of the clean up - wrote Awuor - and this is no exemption. The theme is transportation and through this collaboration we will be able to speak about the airport expansion that is long overdue".
Hotelkeepers also call everyone to come out with their collegues to send this message together.
"Kilifi County Beach Operators association will be present on 9th november for the Malindi Clean Up - says the chairman Justin Kitsao - we do support Malindi International Airport expansion and general infrastructure development in our destination".
Malindi Green And Blue movement call all the stakeholders on saturday 9th at 8 AM starting from outside the airport.
"Our green and blue movement is about collaboration - says the Chairman of Progress Welfare Association of Malindi Kate Mwikali - hotelkeepers have a right to hold a peaceful protest march but not on this day".
