No direct flight from Milan to Nairobi, via Rome by the Kenyan national airline Kenya Airways. The planned restart of connections from Italy to Kenya operated by Kenya Airways, which had been suspended two years ago, actually a few months before the arrival of Covid-19, scheduled for next June 8, has been postponed by the same company, which announced in a statement appeared on its website.
Point 4 of the statement reads: “Postponement of Italy launch previously planned from 8th June 2022. The postponement is in light of reduced passenger demand as a result of slower than expected recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic and the heightened political environment in Kenya. We continue to serve Italy through our European destinations: London Paris and Amsterdam connecting to our SkyTeam Partner Airlines, ITA (Italia Trasporto Aereo ) and Air France-KLM”.
This means that there is no chance of an additional direct flight, in addition to the charters of Neos that will presumably leave in July, although it is to be understood the weekly frequency and especially how many seats will be allocated to Kenya, since Neos will probably operate flights Mombasa-Zanzibar. For the time being, no other charter company, given that Blue Panorama has been put into pre-liquidation, has appeared on the international routes that fly from Italy to tourist destinations in Sub-Saharan Africa.
